Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has been nominated for Guinness World Record (GWR) for launching world’s biggest SMS service, it confirms on Thursday.
The ECP has recently launched a SMS service, in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), to facilitate 85 million voters to check the ststus of their votes.
The ECP further said that the authorities of GWR has asked them to provide further details regarding the service.
Registered voters can send their CNIC number without hyphens via SMS to 8300 at anytime from anywhere in the country.
