American Delegation Meets Pakistan IPO Chief | InfoZonePK

The American Delegation of Intellectual Property Affairs assured technical assistance and capacity building, training for IP experts and stakeholders to improve the services as well as enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in Pakistan.

 These views were expressed in a meeting between Chairman Intellectual Property Organization & Member National Assembly Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi with US envoy Ms Kalpana Reddy, Regional Intellectual Property Attach for South Asia held at IPO Headquarter, Islamabad on Monday. The representatives of Embassy of the US, Islamabad, Sunil Ravi, Jafer Askari, DG IPO-Pakistan Mr. Sajjad Ahmad Bhutta, Director IPO Messaq Arif and from Foreign Affairs and IPO present in the occasion.

The Chairman IPO-Pakistan stressed the need for strengthening mutual coordination in connection with sharing technical knowledge and initiating joint ventures for seeking coorporation of all those who had directly or indirectly associated with Intellectual Property.

Ms. Kalpana Reddy said that US Patents and Trademark Office (USPTO) is determined to build organizational capacity to improve IPR environment. She also assured for providing avenues of training to concerned officials for awareness and enforcement of IP rights.
