Failure to Launch 3G License May Hit Economy | InfoZonePK

If the govt fails to launch 3G license during the present financial year 201-12 the country’s economy will face strong pressure, as it was predictable to produce Rs. 75 billion.

The failure of launching of the 3G spectrum till the end of June 30 this year will leave influential negative impact and will further swelling the already widen budget deficit of the country, said by an anonymous officer in The Nation.

It will increase budget deficit 0.35 percent or Rs. 0.75 billion of the GDP. However, PTA has stance of completing the transcation in third week of June because any amount coming after June 30 this year will have no impact on lowering the deficit.

The official mentioned, “The auction of 3G licensing might be delayed to indefinite period if the govt does not relax Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rule for the auction.”
