OCZ launches the 7mm low profile (LP) version of its Vertex 3 2.5-inche solid sate drive. With a 7mm height form factor, the drive is ideal for use on new slim mobile computing platforms. It uses SATA III 6bps interface and is based on MLC NAND flash. It comes in 60GB, 128GB, 240GB and 480GB capacities.
The Vertex 3 LP offers up to 550MB/s read and 520MB/s write speeds with up to 85,000 IOPS maximum 4K random write performance. The 7mm SSD supports TRIM command for optimized performance.
