The Large Tax Payer Unit (LTU) finally recovered Rs. 2.5 billion from the pioneer to introduce telecom services in Pakistan; yes actually Mobilink paid tax payable amount which were due and eventually Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) attack all Mobilink Bank Accounts untill to not clear the tax payable amount.
Actual amount payable from the side of Mobilink was Rs. 8.6 billion and company has appealed in the court of Income Tax Appellate Tribunal to extra charge the amount and inappropriate in light the rules of Sales Tax.
Final decesion has announced by Incom Tax Appellate Tribunal in favor of LTU, after the decesion teams of LTU took an action against the Mobilink to make sure the recovery of amount and attack ther bank account to settle the payable amount.
Sources confirmed that out of the Rs. 8.6 billion, within the two days time of Income Tax Appellate court decesion Rs. 2.5 billion have been recovered and very soon all pending amount will be recovered in this regard.
FBR also took appropriate actions other telecom companies to pay off all tax payable amount and sources further confirmed that 3.50 million from various other telecom companies.
