Acer refreshes its first generation Ultrabook, the Aspire S3 series, adding the 3rd Generation Intel Core i3 and Core i7 processor. Also, it can now be configured solely with a 256GB solid state drive. Like the more powerful and slimmer Aspire S5, the S3 also comes with a 13.3-inch 1366×768 LED-backlit display. It is equipped with integrated graphics and offers HDMI output.
The Aspire S3 comes in champagne color. The Ultrabook supports Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11n, and has a MMC/SD memory card slot. Though not as lightweight as the S5, the S3 is still portable at just 2.98 pound. It is one of the most affordable ultrabooks on the market with a starting price of $648, and range up to $999.
