Microsoft just launched a Windows Phone 7.8 Update Page on the Windows Phone website.
If you were expecting that you would see some of the new hardware-independent features of Windows Phone 8 on the Windows Phone 7.8, well you have to reconsider because until now Microsoft just sticks to bringing only the Windows Phone 8 Start Screen with Windows Phone 7.8 update to the legacy Windows Phone devices.
