Microsoft has revamped its free email service Hotmail to release the updated preview version of its newly metro designed with minimalistic feel and performance enhanced service that is called Outlook.
Hotmail has been rebranded to Outlook now.
There are different integration services that are provided with Outlook Account like Facebook, Twitter and Skype as well(for some users – others wil get it soon) can be integrated to your Outlook account.
You can import all your contacts from Facebook, LinkedIn and Gmail smoothly to Outlook. The all emails can also be import from Gmail adn Yahoo into Outlook, so it’s easier to keep up with all of your messages.
Micosoft took the decision to launch Outlook after facing fierce competition from Google’s Gmail and its rising popularity due to its integration with social media platforms. Microsoft’s Hotmail is fast losing users to Gmail.
According to latest figures by ComScore Hotmail has 324 million users or in other words has 36% market share globally whereas, Gmail now has 31% market share (289 million users) while Yahoo Mail is stagnant at 32% (298 million users).
Microsoft offers 7GB of free cloud space and it better than ever spam filter take care of junk emails.
