Additional Auditor General Pakistan (AGP), Tanveer Ahmed said that PTCL is one of 15 federal and provincial entities which are denying audit of the annual account.
He sought help of the Committee and Ministry of Law and Justice for enabling AGP to conducting audit of PTCL.
The Senate Standing Committee on Finance which met at the parliament house with Senator Nasreen Jalil, Senator Sardar Fathe Muhammad Hassni, Senator Islamudin Sheikh, Senator Ilyas Bilour and Senator Sughra Imam attended the meeting. Tanveer Ahmed also pointed out that under 18th amendment, there should be a join PAC comprising members from National Assembly and Senate of Pakistan and Ministry of Law and Justice should also look in to this.
Committee directed Additional AGP to present list of top ten institutions where misappropriation of funds is being committed and also present list of top institutions where funds are being used in accordance with rules and regulations.
