Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has ordered all Telecom Companies to 
close all night call packages immediately.
Mr. Farooq Awan, Chairman PTA said in a statement, “No package will be advertised from now on that will have validity after 12:00 am.”
Suddenly PTA has realize that these night packages are immoral and destroying our youth as earlier it was published here that PTA is in progress to close all night packages.
According to PTA, the authority has the right to not only safeguard the interests of cellular operators but the consumers as well under the section (18)1 of the Telecom Act. It has received a number of complains from Standing Committee of the Parliament, Senators, Supreme Court of Pakistan and subscribers the immoral effects of night packages on the youth.
This issue has been raised earlier on many forums. Provincial Assemblies of Punjab and KPK have already passed the resolution against the marketing of such packages due to which our youth is going immorally and have negative effects on their lives and health.
