Mr. Farooq Awan has been reappointed as acting Chairman PTA until the authority not takes 
any decision about the fulfillment of permanent place of chairmanship. During from many last months, there are lot of issues and worse management crises in the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
Once again Govt has trusted on Mr. Farooq Awan and reappointed him as the active Chairman PTA. He has joined the chairmanship of PTA from this Monday and will manage all the operations of the PTA till the new appointment has made.
Mr. Farooq was appointed as Chairman PTA in July 2012 when he was the secretary of IT and Telecom but he was later terminated by the decision of High Court due to illegal appointment issue.
He has already filed the appeal against his suspension as Chairman PTA that is still pending.
