Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. demonstrated its leadership in the Middle East and North African (MENA) market by showcasing a range of category-defining products in TVs, home appliances, printing and mobile devices at its MENA Forum in Malaga, Spain.

Through its broad product range, Samsung showed how it is bringing consumers seamless navigation, intuitive control and smart solutions. Among Samsung’s key products shown at its MENA Forum are:
The 78-inch U9000 Samsung Curved UHD TV, which is the most curved TV in the world with a 4,200 radii for the perfect viewing experience.
Samsung also announced partnerships with global media and content companies such as FOX and Paramount that provide customers with a “UHD video pack” service that contains UHD content by HDD.
The new WW9000 washer delivers pure elegant design and performance that lets users take care of household chores with more ease and speed. TheTop Mounted Freezer RT6000, with improved functionality and upgraded interior design, enables consumers to save energy and better organize and preserve ingredients.
For easy, on-the-go printing that combines NFC and Wi-Fi Direct technologies, Samsung unveiled its new mono laser printers and multi-function printers, the Xpress M2880 Series, as well as its series of color laser printers and multi-function printers, the Xpress C1860 Series.
The UD590 is Samsung’s 2014 Ultra High Definition (UHD) monitor that delivers detailed, high-pixel imaging and stunningly realistic colors. The UD590 delivers unrivaled detail color quality as it is capable of displaying one billion colors, which is 64 times more colors than the standard monitor. It also includes UHD up-scaling technology that converts low resolution content to UHD-level picture quality and creates sharper images.
The Samsung’s 12.2-inch Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO tablets present mobile users with an industry-leading WQ-XGA display, offering crystal clear resolution with more than 4 million pixels, for a best-in-class tablet experience for both content consumption and powerful productivity. The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO line is completed by the Galaxy TabPRO 10.1-inch and 8.4-inch as well. All Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO tablets are running the most recent version of Android 4.4.
The NX30 interchangeable-lens camera has an advanced 20.3 MP APS-C CMOS Sensor, Tiltable Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) and exceptionally fast 1/8000 sec Shutter Speed and 9 FPS continuous shooting capability, to create high quality images with faster than ever performance. The NX30 features NFC and Wi-Fi capabilities, including the ‘Tag & Go’ function, that lets users tap to share memories instantly and easily when paired with NFC enabled mobile devices. Samsung’s U9000 Curved UHD TV provides a wider field of view, a panoramic effect that makes the TV seem even bigger than it is, offering twice the enhanced contrast ratio of a flat TV. Above all, Samsung’s Curved UHD TV has a curve of 4,200 radii, making it the most curved TV in the world, and creating the perfect viewing experience so everyone watching the TV can enjoy the best seat in the house. Samsung’s UHD TV experience is further enhanced through new proprietary technologies that provide incredible image depth, detail and color, including PurColor™ technology, which expresses more detailed shades, and a UHD up scaling process that converts HD and Full HD content to near-UHD quality.
Research shows that a majority of potential TV buyers worry that they might shop at the wrong moment, just before new technology becomes available. Samsung demonstrated that it still is the only company that offers truly future-ready TVs, releasing its first “Evolution Kit” for UHD TVs. The UHD Evolution Kit –available both for selected HD and all UHD TVs – is effectively a brain transplant for the TV, to make sure it works with the latest standards and is powered by the newest technology.
Samsung’s TVs are also becoming even smarter, with a new Multi-Link Screen feature that brings contextual multitasking to the big screen, as well as a newly designed Smart Hub. Smart TV performance is further enhanced with Samsung’s upgraded Quad Core processor, QuadCore Plus, which performs at twice the speed of its predecessor.

The new Soundbar HW-H751 is designed with a sleek, metallic appearance and delivers full cinematic, life-like surround sound that can amplify any home entertainment experience with 320W of quality sound. Consumers can also experience exceptional sound quality through Samsung’s new BD-HES H7750WM Blu-ray Home Entertainment System, which reduces sound distortion and offers improved sound clarity.
What makes this all come together for a completely connected experience is Samsung’s Wireless Audio – Multiroom function, which is enabled on both of these products. With Multiroom, consumers can easily and wirelessly connect to their TV or listen to music stored in other AV products.
A Smarter Kitchen and Laundry Room with Premium, Design Led Appliances:
The WW9000 is Samsung’s latest washing machine designed specifically for the MENA market. The washer features an extra-large door for easier opening and closing, and it has a minimalist frame with a translucent, deep-blue crystal finish for a gorgeous finish. A large 5-inch color Full Touch Screen is included for simple, smart controls.
The washer also features an Auto Optimal Wash option, which uses four sensing technologies that determine the optimum wash cycle, temperature, washing time, rinse cycle and spin speed based on the size of the laundry load, how dirty the clothes are.
Not only is the WW9000 smart, but it is fast. The Super Speed Wash feature completes laundry in 60 minutes—for 5kg loads with default settings—by quickly filing the drum with water through its twin water supply. There are also six pre-programmed Specialty Cycles that provide added convenience by allowing users to select the required washing cycle without going through complicated settings.
For added convenience, users can control these settings through a Smart Control application on their smartphone.
While the WW9000 helps to reduce laundry time, it also reduces energy levels by using a unique EcobubbleTMbubble generator that dissolves detergent quicker, penetrates through clothes faster, and uses less hot water to save energy on every load.
Samsung also introduced the Top Mounted Freezer RT6000, which blends functionality, technology and design into a customized model for the MENA market. With improved functionality and upgraded interior design, the refrigerator enables consumers to save energy and better organize and preserve ingredients.
The refrigerator features an All-Around Cooling system that cools the fridge evenly from corner to corner, enabling food to stay fresh. Moreover, the Power Cool mode helps consumer’s cool drinks and food to the targeted temperature within a short time while Moist Fresh Zone helps create an ideal environment to store vegetables and fruit for a long time by maintaining optimal humidity levels.
Designed to be easy and convenient, the refrigerator is equipped with an Easy Access Water Dispenser located at waist level and an Easy Slide shelf that can be slid out up to 170mm.
The Top Mounted Freezer RT6000 also features a Deodorizing Filter and Anti-Bacterial Protector that ensures more effective and powerful sterilization and deodorization through better air circulation.
Finally, both the WW9000 and Top Mounted Freezer RT6000 are powered by Samsung’s Digital Inverter Technology, which automatically adjusts the speed of the key components such as motor and compressor depending on how hard it has to work. As a result, consumers get more durability, less noise and energy savings—all backed by a 10-year warranty on the motor and compressor.
Easy On-the-Go Printing with Samsung’s Xpress Series:
In 2013, Samsung underscored its leadership in advanced mobile printing technologies by releasing the C410,the world’s first color laser printer series with NFC capabilities. Today at the MENA Forum, Samsung further proved its leadership in the mobile printing market by unveiling its new mono laser and multi-function printers, the Xpress M2880 Series, as well as its series of color laser and multi-function printers, the Xpress C1860 Series.
With outstanding speeds and NFC printing capabilities, these printers provide small- to medium-sized businesses with easy, convenient mobile printing. The mono laser printers feature high-speeds of 28 pages per minute, while the color laser printers can print 18 pages per minute.
Thanks to the NFC and Wi-Fi Direct technologies, users can simply tap their smartphones on the printers to easily and securely print pictures, documents, e-mails and web content. Mobile printing is also supported via Samsung’s mobile printing application, which can be downloaded from the Google Play and Apple App stores for free. Samsung aims to accelerate its global wireless enterprise business through the Smart WLAN solution and plans to launch the solution in several markets, starting from this year.
