Here is an opportunity for you to share your idea with the world yourself at the Telenor Youth Summit in Oslo, Norway in partnership with the Nobel Peace Centre and represent Pakistan.
The Telenor Youth Summit, in partnership with the Nobel Peace Center, is an opportunity for YOU – tomorrow’s social entrepreneurs – to engage with experts, thought leaders and fellow youth. This inspiring three day conference in Oslo, Norway, is where young people come together to explore the transformative power of mobile and digital communication.
Last year, two young Pakistanis Saad Hamid and Awais Imran were selected from over 260 entries to represent Pakistan at the inaugural Telenor Youth Summit. Saad Hamid presented his initiative titled ’60 second education project’ while Awais Imran gathered the laurels of his peers through his idea ‘Learning a new language using Mobile ICT’.
Talking about the initiative, Atifa Asghar, Director Corporate Communications and Responsibility, Telenor Pakistan said, “The competition is in line with our ambition to bring Internet for All through which we are challenging the digital generation to use mobile communication technology to improve lives, drive growth and empower societies. The summit offers youth the opportunity to meet international leaders and opinions makers through sessions, workshops and other social activities at a global level.”
Who Can Apply?
- A current or budding social entrepreneur
- Between 18 and 25 years old
- Passionate about social, economic and/or environmental change and feel strongly about how mobile and digital communication can make our future better
- Keen to develop your ideas by meeting experts, industry leaders and peers for a 3-day summit and workshops in Oslo, Norway, in December
- Looking to make friends and connections that can challenge and help enhance your own ideas and passions for digital communication, with the objective of developing them into sustainable and responsible businesses
- Open to new impulses, unexpected perspectives and ready to share yours with others
