Mobilink

Mobilink has partnered with Twitter to give its valued customers the opportunity to use Twitter for free for the duration of the ongoing high octane cricketing action. The partnership will provide customers the most comprehensive platform to follow the excitement and the pulse of the world tournament, one Tweet at a time.

Mobilink customers will receive access to the popular social media platform by visiting twitter.com for the duration of the event without incurring any data charges. A unique aspect of the service which will be available up until the end of March 2015, is that customers who don’t possess a Twitter account can also experience the Cricket Timeline which includes scores and commentary by directly accessing t.co/cwcpak.

Users can access Twitter’s newly announced Cricket World Cup Timeline by searching for the hashtag #CWC15 on the Twitter app on Andriod or iOS and by accessing t.co/cwcpak via mobile browser. Customers can also access this special feature timeline by accessing individual match hashtags like #PAKvWI or #SAvIND.

Speaking on the partnership, Aamer Manzur, Head of Data, Mobilink commented, “Cricket is a great unifier for all Pakistanis and is the most followed sport in the country. The unique Cricket experience brought by Twitter will make it easy for all the fans to follow the scores and other cricket action. To top it Mobilink is offering free access to Twitter and enabling its customers to cheer and follow their team right on their mobile phones.”

On the Twitter timeline, users can engage with players, commentators and celebrities, watch exclusive pictures and videos and of course keep updated with all the latest scores with data free of charge.
