Two Pakistani Students from NED University of Computer Science Department Yusra Sadiqui and Zohaib Shoaib made a movile phone software for monitoring electricity. They named it “Electricity Power Utilization Manager”. Device would be incorporated with the software and consumer will get the exact figures of electricity consumption.
With the help of this software, electricity and the voltage being used in home or industrial levels can be estimated exactly on per minute per hour basis.
Consumers can compare the monthly consumed electricity bill sent by the company with that the software shows. They also told that consumer can fix electricity units as they want in the software and can get all the details through SMS.
Electrical Power Utilization Manager software will be attached to the electricity meter through a device and the meter reading will transfer to the device through which it will monitor daily electricity consumption and consumer will receive all the data via SMS. Software can also show the daily consumption in graph format. The software can keep the data save for 5 years. Students told that they are working for more improvements in the software which is at the moment in its initial stages.
