There was claiming on Facebook and IT blogs that Pakistani hackers have won a hacking competition beating hackers hailing from 28 different countries. Well, that was not a competition at all, but it was a Cyber Drill and it was related to Incident Response in which PISA(Pakistan Information Security Association) participated to represent Pakistan.
This event was organized by Asia Pacific Computer Emergency Response Team (APCERT). The participants were given some some specific tasks for testing the Incident Response time, Methodology, Repporting, Accuracy and identification of incidents.
In a summary we can say that there was a scenario in which confidential documents were stolen from a company and was shared to public. All Terms had to response such Security Breaches according to International Standard.
In the event, Pakistani team participated for the first time and successfully completed every task which given to them.
