Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the term getting popular across the globe. Since human beings today are facing problems mainly due to storage of resources and political unrest, it is the private and public limited companies which are taking care of people in areas such as education, health, sports, natural calamities, etc and contributing whatever they can out of the revenue they earn from us.
PTCL is also one such company which received award for “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative 2011012” given by the National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH).
The award was given through chief guest Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa to PTCL Senior Vice President Business Zone Central, Jamal Abdullah Salim Hussain Al Suwaidi, at a distinguished ceremony of the NFEH 4th International CSR Summit & Business Excellence Awards held at a local hotel in Lahore.
According to Press Release:
“The NFEH CSR Business Excellence awards recognize and promote Pakistani organizations making outstanding contributions to the country’s sustainable future through exemplary corporate social responsibility initiative. PTCL is amongst 36 organizations and companies which were awarded the CSR Business Excellence Award 2011-12 in various categories. A total of 87 companies had participated in the competition.”
