The aim was to offer an exciting platform to those children who are physically and mentally challenged and motivate them to take part in activities and perform to a level where they acquire asense of achievement.
Around 400 students from 20 schools took part in the Special Olympics. Since each child had a distinctive disability, the Special Olympics team had organized different kinds of activities for each category. From 50 meters race to interactive activities for children on wheel chairs, the event ensured that all children were catered for.
Winners received medals and all participants got ribbons to establish the belief that no participant was a loser on that day. The event received accolades from the chief guest, Dr. Ali Khan and Professor Junaid Ahmad from LUMS.
