Raja Pervaiz Ashraf previously Minister of Water and Power has become the Federal Minister of Information Technology and telecom (MoITT) in the recent expansion of federal cabinet.
The appointment of Mr. Pervaiz, the main character of the infamous rental power project scam, raised eyebrows of many people as the apex court has already directed the NAB to take action against him on power rental case.
But he will serving as Minister of IT and Telecom when industry is awaiting 3G license auction, which is likely to bring billions of rupees in national kitty and Mr. Pervaiz who will be directly involved accused of corruption.
