Wateen Telecom has signed a MoU with the PITB for enabling e-learning in th province.

Earlier it was posted that various IT companies signed MoUs with Punjab Govt for the better growth of IT sector in Punjab.

CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Naeem Zamindar, CEO Wateen telecom signed the agreement at the PITB e-Government Exhibition held at Arfa Technology Park earlier today.

According to agreement, Wateen Telecom will provision an e-learning portal graduate and post-graduate students to access and gain vital educational content from. The online will include text books, past papers, solved past papers and tips for students on preparing for examinations.

This project aims at providing free access to educational with just the click of a button and promises to leap-frog the country to economic progress and prosperity with a skilled and educated workforce.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Naeem, CEO Wateen Telecom said that, “With better online access, Wateen envisions that a student in Chichawatni can have access to the same education available at Harward or Cambridge. today we are creating an opportunity for students of tomorrow to benefit from and improve Pakistan economically and socially.”

The e-Governance Exhibition, hosted by PITB, was visited by over one thousand students from various schools and universities. All the main ICT firms, including Wateen telecom, participated in the exhibition with their stalls accessible for the general public.
