Telenor to Promote Digital Generation in Pakistan | InfoZonePK

Telenor Pakistan has started an initiative to empower the Pakistan’s digital generation. The initiative is called Talkshawk I-Champ which aims to provide exciting learning and training opportunities to the youth to enable them to become the proponents of digital change in Pakistan.

Telenor will join hands with the Government of Punjab in this knowledge based project and conduct internet workshops for students of class 8 to 10 in around 150 schools in rural and semi-urban areas of the most populated province in the country.

A launch event was attended bya large nuber of school children’s Library Complex and Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan was present as the chief guest.

In a message, Acting Chief Marketing Officer Telenor Pakistan Usman Javed thanked the Govt of Punjab for supporting the Telenor Talkshawk I-Champ project.

Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashood Ahmed Kham in his remarks spoke about the importance of youth learning the positive use of technology.

The winner of the Telenor Talkshawk I-Champ final competition will be presented with an opportunity to learn more about the internet and explore how the internet is being used by people outside Pakistan be visiting Opera Labs in Norway.
