Akitio launches its new Cloud Hybrid (model CY1P-LNU2JA), a NAS enclosure with Gigabit Ethernet connection and USB 3.0 interface for fast data transfer rate. The device gets its name from its dual connectivity. You can use USB 3.0 for direct connection with your PC or use Gigabit Ethernet to connect the unit to your home network. It is powered by a 300MHz processor with 32MB DDR memor. The aluminum case is good for heat dissipation.
The Cloud is a 1-bay NAS enclosure that accommodates a 3.5-inch SATA I/II hard drive up to 3TB. It supports exFAT file formate. As a NAS, it comes with Samba server, FTP server, iTunes music server, BitTorrent client, WebDAV server as well as UPnP-AV media server, which is able to stream media content within local network to any UPnP-AV and DLNA compatible device and clients such as smartphones, tablets, PS3, XBox 360 and HDTVs. The Cloud Hybrid provides a web portal for remote login, and you can also view and manage files with free iOS and Android apps.
