National Assembly’s Standing Committee (NASC) has shown serious concerns on continuous delay the matter of 3G license. PTA and government should have resolved the serious issues earlier but still constant deadlocks halted the situation.
The committee also expressed unhappiness the progress of Auction Supervisory Committee on 3G because ASC has taken the auction rights from PTA instead of administrative rights and however it’s still not clear actually who will take the responsibility of auction.
Chairman PTA is continuously saying that process is underway to hire the international consultant and will follow the best practice to auction of 3G license to follow the rules of PPRA. After finalizing the consultant will continue the further transparent proceedings.
While submitting a fact sheet on 3G license, Rahat Kounain Hussain, Chairperson Competition Commissions of Pakistan (CCP) said that any further delay in 3G auction would harmfully affect country’s economy.
