PTA has taken effective measures to standardize SIM sales procedures to properly monetize at retail level. In this regard, proper regulations have brought forward by PTA to develop the check & balance system.
New system of check and balance will help to improve the efficacy on the sales and purchase of subscriptions of cellular operators and relevant stakeholder. All the suggestions and objections will further help to ensure the process more transparent.
PTA has issued official letter to involve the participation of cellular companies to suggest the amendment in Subscriber Antecedent Regulation 2010. In which al cellular operators will allocate the unique ID to their sale agents, franchisers and authorized retailers to communicate with database of authorized sales channels.
Now all the sales agents would be listed in database and authorized on behalf of cellular companies to sales of SIMs and document attestation and verification of customers. This will legally ensured to operators to follows the regulations strictly and the time of sale and purchase of SIMs, display of CNIC is compulsory to ensure he SIM authentication process transparent.
Now B-form is issue by NADRA wold be presented in case of under age and buyers can also gets SIMs o display the CNIC’s of family members like stepmother, father, brother’s and sister’s.
