The Provincial Govt of Sindh has accorded approval for the purchase of six mobile phone locators to Sindh Police for curbing crimes in the commercial hub of kidnapping for ransom.
This was stated by Additional I.G Sindh CCPO Karachi, Akhtar Hasan Gorchani while speaking to a business community. The apparatus would soon be procured in this regard and police personnelwill be trained to utilize the technology for controlling crimes in the city.
He said that mobile phone locators will help th epolice to locate criminals ans their groups by tracing mobile phone signals.
The mobile phone locating devices can help Police to great extent if it will used properly without infringement of individuals privacy by trained personnel for the purpose of curbing crime rather than for political motives of the ruling government.
