Out of the blue Google just announced it has acquired Quick offuce, the popular productivity suite for viewing and editing document formats for iOS and Android.
Google has not provided much details about the acquistion, so it is unknown whether it should expect an update to Quickoffice or whether it will even continue its existence under the same moniker.
What’s pretty certain is that Google will take advantage of the company’s technology for inter-potability with the popular document file formats.
