Ufone received the ‘Best Practicing CSR Company’ Award by United Nations Global Compact Pakistan (UNGCP). Ufone is the only telecom recipient of this prestigious award.
UN Global Compact Pakistan Local Network in collaboration with Lahore Chamber of Commerce, Employers’ Federation of Pakistan and FPCCI organized the National Global Compact Conference under the theme “Sustaining Best Business Practices” in Lahore recently.
To inspire the business community to follow the lead taken by business in the area of sustainability, UNGCP conferred recognition awards on Best Practising CSR companies.
In view of Creative CSR initiatives taken by Ufone as a tool for business sustainability by UNFCP’s Selection Committee for conferment of this Award. The steering committee at UNGCP’s hand-picked Ufone for this award based on the word of mouth generated due to the company’s CSR activities. UN Global Compact is a Project started by the former UN secretary general Kofi Annan.
Akbar Khan, Chief Marketing Officer, Ufone expressed his delight by praising the efforts, dedication and hard work of his team.
Mozzam Ali Khan, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Ufone emphasized on the importance of strong CSR platform and said that Ufone’s initiative were creative, innovative and focused on the masses.
