Telecom Companies Seek One Week Time for Tax Evasion Case Reply | InfoZonePK

Senior officials of five telecom companies National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC, Pakistan Mobile Communication Ltd. (PMCL), Ufone, Telenor and Warid appeared before NAB’s investigation team on Thursday in Rs. 47 billion tax evasion case. All five teelcom companies agreed to fully cooperate with NAB’s investigation team and have sought one-week time to submit their written reply.

The companies, during the course of inquiry, were conveyed of their liabilities by the investigation team as determined by the tax authorities. The representative of these telecom companies denied owning that they have warned to switch off services as it was published here yesterday.

NAB reiterates its stance regarding transparent inquiry and pledged that no such threats would be acceptable to the bureau. The Chairman NAB is of the view that NAB will keep supreme the interests of the common people of Pakistan. Anyone found guilty under the law will have to face consequences.
