Mobilink has introduces Nano-SIM for iPhone 5 users in Pakistan. As Apple has introduces Nano-SIM technology in its newly released iPhone 5. The Nano-SIM is 12.3mm wide by 8.8mm high, and 0.67mm thick and 40 percent smaller than current micro-SIM format. Standard SIMs cant be used with the iPhone 5 and Mobilink has taken urgent steps to ensure customers can continue to use their preferred mobile phone devices on its network. The Nano-SIM is no way different (apart from the size) than the exciting SIM cards and it offers the same functionality. Mobilink customers will have to get the Nano-SIMs directly from their customer care centres across the country.
For new this SIM standard has only been adopted by Apple in the new iPhone 5 but soon other mobile phone manufacturers are expected to follow the trend because traditional SIM take up a significant amount of space inside the handsets. This space is more and more valuable in today’s mobile phones devices which deliver an ever increasing number of features.
