Only 5 SIMs per CNIC: PTA Gives Directive to All CMOs | InfoZonePK

Along with the Notification from PTA to all CMOs regarding New SIM sales process and MNP restoration, PTA also gives directive to all Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs) to check the number of SIMs issued against one CNIC before selling new SIMs to customers and that new SIMs should not be sold to anyone already having more than  5 SIMs over one CNIC.

So by this new directive only new SIM can be registered to someone if he/sh has less than 5 SIMs on his/her CNIC and has to deactivate/disown all those SIMs which they do not use mean keep the number of SIMs on his name only 5.

I called to different cellular operators and they confirmed that according to new directive from PTA now onward only 5 SIMs will be kept on one CNIC of a person and all other SIMs will be blocked. The procedure is not yet decide that how to deactivate the more than 5 SIMs of a customer as many customers will have more than five SIMs of different operators and they might be in their use.

PTA is informing the customers to visit their respective Cellular Operator’s Franchise of Service Center to get their un-used SIMs blocked.

All customers can check the number of SIMs in their names by send their CNIC to 668 and know how many SIMs with name of Operator are in your name. You can also visit the Special Weblink provided by PTA to check the number of SIMs against your CNIC by vising this link.
