Mobilink Foundation has been Awarded the Certification by Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) | InfoZonePK

Mobilink‘s non-profit organization, Mobilink Foundation has been awarded certification by the Pakistan Centre ofMobilink-Certification Philanthropy (PCP) in recognition of the Foundation’s excellence in executing large scale humanitarian and social development initiatives across Pakistan.

Mobilink Foundation has become the first and only telecom industry CSR function to be awarded to Mobilink Foundation after an extensive evaluation that assessed the Foundation for internal governance structure, financial management and program delivery. The awarding of PCP Certification is a testament to the diversity and outreach of the Mobilink Foundation and establishes the credibility of its operations.

Bilal Munir Sheikh, Chief Commercial Officer Mobilink highlighted:

The PCP Certification is a very rigorous process where organizations are evaluated against over 80 evaluation parameters. Mobilink’s qualification for certification shows that it has financial controls and good governance practices in place.”

PCP is the only Non-Profit organization (NPO) certification agency authorized by the Government of Pakistan, with certification by PCP authentication the credibility, transparency and performance of Non-Profit Organization (NPO) through an assessment and validation process. This aslo includes verification of the evaluation by an independent certification panel comprising of representatives of SECP, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), member of media and prominent civil society.

Mobilink Foundation is a reflection of the commitment of Mobilink and its employees to reshape lives of the community in which Mobilink operates. Established in 2007, the Mobilink Foundation is a non-profit organization, which provides support for the local community in the areas of health, education, environment and humanitarian assistance. Being a philanthropic organization, it is purely based on employee volunteerism that enables the Foundation to spend every penny directly towards the causes it is associated with.

PCP was established in 2003. Government of Pakistan authorized PCP to function as the only certification agency for the social development sector. The Certification Program seeks to bring transparency, accountability and good governance in the nonprofit sector of Pakistan. As the first initiative of its kind in South Asia; it involves the evaluation of an NPO on standardized parameters that are based on global best-practices to enrich capacity.
