Facebook 2012 Q4 Revenue Reaches $1.59 Billion | InfoZonePK

Facebook has earned the record revenue in Q4 of 2012 of $1.59 billion. It increases Facebook Logo 16:9 hires PNGwith 40% as compared with same quarter of 2011. Surprisingly the stock prices of Facebook went down by as much as 9% in after-hours trading. Altogether, Facebook generated over $5 billion in revenue in 2012 making it the company’s first time in passing this milestone.

Major portion of the revenue growth was an outcome from advertising, which generated $1.33 billion in the Q4 of 2012. It was a 41% increase from the same quarter a year ago. Mobile ads accounted for 23% of total ad revenue for Facebook Q4 of 2012, up from 14% in the previous quarter. Mobile ads have also managed to gain that much revenue because Facebook has become the most widely used app on smartphones in the US alone. It surpassed Google Maps in October 2011 and has maintained its position. 25% of the time people spend on smartphone in US is on Facebook apps (which also include Instagram now). The popularity of Instagram can be total by the fact on New Year’s Day, 600 million photos were uploaded to Instagram which is also a new record.
