Satechi has launched new Multifunction Mini Router for travelers who are looking for compact wireless router. Satechi’s new Wireless Multifunction Mini Router, as it is shown by its name, provides several operation modes for fit users’ needs. While compact enough to fit in your pocket, it is a full-featured router with support for 802.11b/g/n wireless standard WPA2 security standard, and up to 300Mbps wireless speeds. It plugs directly to a wall outlet so no power adapter and cable needed.
Of course, the Wireless Multifunction router can function as a typical wireless router for creating a WiFi network. It can also be used as a repeater to amplify and extend the range of existing network, and as a wireless bridge that connects to an existing network and rebroadcast it under a new name. You can also find Access Point mode and Client mode that enables wired devices such as Smart HDTV, gaming console, DVD player, to connect to the internet wirelessly.
Satechi’s mini router has two 10/100Mbps LAN ports and includes QoS for bandwidth management. The travel-friendly router is priced at $39.99. Only US plug version is available and the company said that the router works with universal plug adapter.
