Ufone Conducted Interviews at British Council Employers Job Fair. The British Council Employers’ Fair was a one-day job fair held in Islamabad after its successful execution in Karachi and Lahore. A number of undergraduate and graduate students attended the fair and sought out jobs and internships in the companies that had their stalls at the fair. It comes out the Ufone was the most sought out employer by the attendees and all three stalls of the telecom operator were being approached by the attendees.
The Ufone team at the stalls, in addition to showing actual vacancies available at Ufone and interviewing potential candidates, provided career guidance and resume writing with an aim to enhance the skills of fresh graduates. A Master Trainer at Pitstop International, Mr. Tahir Husain expressed his appreciation of the guidance Ufone was providing. He said that the guidance and tips came as a boon to the students who left quite confident in their abilities after leaving the Ufone stalls.
The GM Human Resources of Ufone, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Zaidi was of the opinion that events and fairs such as these helped to identify potential employers for returning graduates whereas at the same time they nurtured their commitment to giving talent a fair chance. Mr. Zulfiqar himself interviewed a number of fresh graduate candidates to give them maximum opportunity to gain experience at one of the largest cellular companies of Pakistan.
The Country Head of Education UK at British Council Pakistan Nadia Kamran hoped that the collaboration of British Council with Ufone would continue to grow stronger in the future and they have plans to hold similar events in coming two years.
