PTCL has set up a medical camp through which it is providing free healthcare to more than 3000 children participating in the Annual Sports Week being held from March 19 -24 at Sports Complex Islamabad.

PTCL physicians and dentists, aided by necessary paramedical staff and ambulance service, are providing the children with OPD cover, updating of medical record, dental examination, blood grouping and screening and emergency services including minor surgical procedures at the medical camp.

Syed Mazhar Hussain, PTCL Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) HR said at the occasion, “Committed to uphold the highest standards of corporate ethics and social responsibility, PTCL actively contributes towards the society by extending its services for community development. Our focus is not to only enable our employees to serve the organization proficiently, but more importantly encouraging them to contribute genuinely towards development of the society and its people.”

An extension of PTCL’s vision of supporting the community, the camp has been set up in collaboration with Pakistan Sweet Homes to provide free healthcare and medical services to the children. A project of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), these Sweet Homes provide quality housing and education to thousands of orphaned children across Pakistan.

The weeklong medical camp is part of the various initiatives the company has taken as a responsible corporate entity.

Besides providing healthcare and diagnostic services, PTCL’s Medical Department is also actively promoting awareness on common and preventable diseases to the benefit of not only its employees but also the general public as well.
