New Pakistani Government has imposed 5% additional tax on Telecom Services.
Pakistani people are already paying a heavy tax on usage of Telecom Services. Now 5% additional tax will be imposed from July 1st, 2013.
Till now there is almost 35% of tax is being paid by Pakistani people.
The Tax deduction detail is as follows:
- WHT = 10% (Which will be 15% from July 1st, 2013)
- GST/FED = 19.5%
- Service Charges (Operational and Maintenance Charges) = 6%
So the total tax becomes 35.5% and from July 1st, 2013 due to addition 5% tax, it will become 40.5%.
Fedeal Ministers of Finance has announced this in National Assembly that WHT has been increased from 10% to 15%. So from July 1st, 2013 on recharge of Rs. 100 customer will get an amount of Rs. 78.5 and on this amount more 19.5% FED will be deducted during usage of calls, sms or other telecom services.
In simple words you will get only Rs. 59.5 out of Rs. 100 which will be actual usable amount for the customer.
