4G is 4th Generation mobile technology. It is successor of 3G and provides 10 times faster speed.

  • Much faster than 3G since it provides 10 times faster speed.
  • Higher data rates
  • Advanced mobile technology
  • Ultra broadband internet access
  • Gaming services and Stream multimedia facility to users
  • Most companies offers low cost 4G introductory offers
  • Data rate set for 100 M-bit in moving vehicles

Cons:

  • Although it has great coverage that is expanding rapidly, but in some locations around the world it may not be available
  • Still have to purchase wireless modem or pay rent for one at reasonable rate
  • Packet switching infrastructure
  • Although it has great connectivity, but it is still in formative stage and can result in bugs
  • Higher data billing due to large consumption

Overall, companies choose networks depending on their requirements. It also depends on which mobile device they use. Both 3G and 4G networks provide speed and quality on most mobile devices.
