Carmudi's Exhibit  at the Startup Expo

Carmudi.pk, Pakistan’s leading vehicle marketplace, was awarded one of the top 100 startups in Pakistan at the first ‘All Pakistan Startup Expo and Awards 2015’ that took place in Islamabad on the May 9th 2015. In addition to being a top startup winner, Carmudi was shortlisted for three award categories: Best Startup of the Year, Best Technopreneur of the Year, and Service Business of the Year Venture Funded Business of the Year.

Recognizing the annual achievements of startups in Pakistan, Startup Expo selected Carmudi as one of the best startups in Pakistan by taking into account their uniqueness of idea, business model, originality, evidence of success, clientele, cash flows, social impact, sustainability and partnerships.

Carmudi displayed its services to 5000 + visitors at one the biggest festival of startups and entrepreneurs in Pakistan and interacted with seasoned entrepreneurs and industry mentors.  The General Secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Jahangir Tareen inaugurated the expo as the chief guest of first session while Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was the chief guest of second session.

Speaking about Carmudi’s participation at the Startup Expo, MD of Carmudi Pakistan, Raja Murad Khan said, “It is a great honor for the Carmudi team to have not only be selected as one of the 100 best startups in Pakistan, but also be shortlisted for three awards. We are committed in maintaining Carmudi as the best online car dealer in Pakistan.”

With just under 18M internet users, 15 million mobile users and the recent deployment of 3G networks across the country, internet usage and smartphone penetration is set to surge, supporting the growth of startups in Pakistan.

The portal contains a wide range of car models including but not limited to brands like Honda, Toyota, Suzuki, Daihatsu, Mitsubishi and more dealing with both brand new and used cars.
