Let’s find out what Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan has to share about his multitasking approach and different projects he has been working on.

Q. How did you come up with WAKTECH idea?

A. Pakistan is abundant with resources and talent. With the evolution of technology, people are bound to import electronic gadgets from foreign countries. By realizing this fact, idea of WAKTECH was generated to capitalize on Pakistan’s consumer electronic market. The main purpose of this initiative is to boost the confidence of international brands in Pakistani products.

Q. How WAKTECH is contributing to the betterment of Pakistan?

A. Directly or indirectly, my all projects are solely aiming on giving a boost to Pakistan economical and corporate sector. The major contribution of WAKTECH is to bring the biggest Korean brand Samsung to Pakistan. This step will not only beneficial in consumer electronics sector but also giving chances of employment to deserving talented individuals.

Q. What made you startGulzar Foundation?

A. Serving the people is a source of joy and inner satisfaction for me. My father inspired me to embark on this journey of good cause for the well being of people. Being a Pakistani, it is my responsibility to use my resources to do something for the well being of my people. I had a dream of building state of art tertiary care hospitals and social development projects where unreached, un-served and underprivileged people are provided free medical and social services. Through Gulzar Foundation we are providing free medical facilities to the people under supervision of well trained staff.

Q. What inspired you to initiate Ghulam Zainab Trust?

A. The undying love and much affiliation with my mother led me establish a trust in her name. Ghulam Zainab Memorial Trust provides medical facilities and financial assistance to the needy people regardless of any kind of discrimination.

Q. How has been your experience of Gulzar Foundation’s Dastarkhawan?

A. If you save a life you save the entire humanity. Looking for something more personally satisfying, this initiative was taken by keeping in notice the condition of labors, shopkeepers, security guards, patients, passengers and needy people in Lahore and DIK. The feeling of serving the humanity is always greater than anything else.

Q. Running a lot of projects at a time requires a lot of effort and hard work. How do you manage to run multiple projects?

A. This could only be possible due to the team work and proper planning. When a new project is initiated, it entails a lot of planning and professionalism. Business is a matter of pride and serving the nation is a matter of satisfaction for me. Commitment to work and dedication enable us to manage everything efficiently on time.
