Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Maj Gen (R) Amir Azeem Bajwa emphasized on the need of research & development in higher academic institutions and cultivating entrepreneurial skills in the young graduates. He stated this while addressing the 7th Annual Open House and Job Fair 2019 at HITEC University Taxila. Chairman PTA was the chief guest of the event.
He appreciated the keen interest and ambitions of the graduates in the technological advancements. He also stated that young people should leverage knowledge and new technologies to harness innovative ideas and contribute to Pakistan’s socio-economic development. Through developing an entrepreneurial spirit, they will be able to invest in building and sustaining their skills set, their attitude, and usher in a new era of opportunity for Pakistan. He announced that in line with PTA’s efforts to harness the energy and potential of the new generation, two graduates from HITEC University will be given the opportunity to work in PTA as Management Trainees.
He also appreciated the creative and innovative projects designed and developed by the young graduates and awarded cash prizes and certificates to them. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Muhammad Younas Javed presented a souvenir of appreciation to Chairman PTA on this occasion.
