Zong has revamped its ‘My Zong App’ with better interface. This app is also launched for iOS devices as well. Previously Zong launched this app only for Android smartphones.

Installation Steps:

For Android:

  • Visit Android Playstore
  • Search” My Zong” & install MY ZONG APP

OR

  • Copy the attached file (Click Here to Download this app.)
  • Copy APK in Phone/Memory card storage.
  • Access APK file from Phone.
  • Click the file and select Install
  • Register your Zong number
  • Sign In and Use the application

For Apple (IOS):

  • Visit Apple APP Store
  • Search “MY ZONG APP” & install.
  • Register with your Zong number
  • Sign In and Use the application

Complaints Resolution:

Scenario 1

Icons in the app are disabled/greyed out or unable to view details (Call history, Account details etc.)

Solution:

Please check your account, if it is logged in as guest then options other than MNP request would not be available because guest feature is specifically designed for other network numbers. This feature gets enabled if a user is registering with other network number OR using dual SIM phone. To fix this, you needs to do is to select Zong number as primary. If you are using Zong SIM on slot 2 then you have to switch the Zong SIM priority to slot 1.

Scenario 2:

  • Application Registration issue
  • App is logged in as guest
  • Error prompt received “your primary number is not Zong”.

Solution:

You are using dual SIM handset, please place Zong SIM in primary jacket (slot 1).

Scenario 3:

  • Registration issue
  • Error prompt received “User already registered on another device”.

Solution:

Please delete application from your previous handset and then register again on new handset. If you do not have your previous handset and cannot uninstall the app, please send an email at customerservices@zong.com.pk

Scenario 4:

Error prompt received during login
“unable to login application”
or
“unable to process request, please try again later”

Solution:

Clear data and cache and try again with new pin and also check your phone compatibility.

Scenario 5

Error prompt received during login “Padding is invalid”

Solution:

You are entering invalid password in old version of App, please install the new App version.

Scenario 6:

App has Stop Working and error prompt received “My Zong has stopped working”

Solution:

Please check your internet connection, either connection is not available or weak.

Scenario 7:

Getting Error “Sorry, your internet connection is not working or system is not responding. Please check your internet connectivity – try Again”

Solution:

  • Check if internet connection is properly working.
  • Check if SIM is properly inserted in the handset to activate dialer feature. (Dialer feature is required by APP to run properly). This could be any SIM, regardless of the number which customer wants to register.

Compatibility:

  • For Android OS 3 & Above is compatible.
  • For IOS. OS 8 & Above is compatible.

FAQs:

Q: What will be the procedure to sign up the application?

A: Enter your number without zero e.g. 31XXXXXXXX and click on register, password/PIN will be shared via SMS & system will automatically register APP in case of positive verification.

Q: Are there any charges of the application?

A: No, application is free of cost however internet charges will apply.

Q: Are there any charges to check balance or free resources?

A: No, it is free of cost

Q: Are there any charges to activate/deactivate any service?

A: Yes, standard charges of the product will be charged.

Q: What if I forget the password/PIN?

A: You can get the new password by using Get New Pin option

Q: Will we generate the complaint if customer is out of coverage?

A: No, we will not generate the complaint

Q: What will be the procedure, if I change my handset?

A: It is mandatory to unregister the previous account before registering on a new device
